Second and final update: We have had several serious covid infections in the last couple of days. There will be NO formal reception, sorry!
Services will be held on Thursday 02 SEPT 2021 at 10am, at Gulf Cemetery, in Santa Rosa Beach. This is on SR 393, south of Highway 98. A brief reception will be held at Delta’s house following the service; 36 Brian Circle, a stone’s throw from the cemetery.
Delta Kuzenski, our dear friend, has died.
Most of you know that Delta had been suffering from lupus for many years, and had extensive GI surgery years ago because of it. In the spring of 2021, Delta began having irreversible organ failure.
Delta’s passion was her work as a social worker and counselor. During her corporate career, she was proud of the fact that she saw her role, not as a representative of her employer, but as an advocate for the wellbeing and interests of her patients.
Delta was born in Spanish Fort, Alabama, in 1960; she grew up in Baton Rouge and took her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at LSU.
For the last 30-ish years, she lived and worked in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. Most of that time was spent working for a large corporate healthcare company.
For the last few years of her life, Delta had a rewarding private practice through 30A Therapy in Santa Rosa Beach. She deeply cared for her patients and was worrying about their wellbeing up to her final days.
Services have not yet been planned. I’m sure if you want to mark the occasion, Delta would be delighted if a donation were made to your own favorite charity, or to your own local no-kill animal shelter.
